October 2-3 2010: Members of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Tokyo interacted with visitors to the Embassy's booth at Global Festa 2010 in Hibiya Park on October 2nd and 3rd.
Global Festa is annually organized by by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Japan International Cooperation Agency and Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation to better acquaint the public with select nations and the activities of Japan and Japanese NGOs in those nations.
More than 250 NGOs, embassies, international organizations and other related institutions participated, and an approximated 106,000 people, the largest number ever, visited during the events this year.
As one of the most popular booths, thousands of visitors stopped by the Embassy of Afghanistan's booth and enjoyed live Afghan music, Dari language lessons, story time, and many photo opportunities. Additionally, visitors were able to acquire Afghan jewelry, clothing, and accessories with their names written in Dari.
