Ambassador Fatimie meets with H.E. Ambassador Yousef Bilal of the State of Qatar

January 24, 2011: Ambassador Sayed M. Amin Fatimie was received warmly at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Tokyo by H.E. Ambassador Yousef Bilal.

During their talks, Ambassador Fatimie expressed gratitude for the State of Qatar’s assistance to Afghanistan’s development, particularly since 2002. Building upon these foundations of support, Ambassador Fatimie requested, on behalf of the government and people of Afghanistan, Qatar’s cooperation in promoting peace and stability in Afghanistan through Qatar’s role as a member of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), the Arab League, and other regional frameworks.

H.E. Ambassador Bilal declared that humanitarian and Islamic duty assured that H.E. and the officials of the Embassy of the State of Qatar would support their Afghan brothers, and promised to convey to his government the importance of Afghanistan’s peace process for the region.
