Ambassador Fatimie meets with H.E. Ambassador Ukelli of the Republic of Kosovo

January 31, 2011: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie visited the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo upon invitation and was warmly received by H.E. Ambassador Sami Ukelli.

H.E. Ambassador Ukelli, on the occasion of their meeting, expressed on behalf of his nation, gratitude to the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and to H.E. President Hamid Karzai as Afghanistan was the first nation to recognize an independent Republic of Kosovo.

The two Ambassadors discussed their countries’ shared value systems as well as the hardships that both nations have gone through.

In closing, the Ambassadors agreed to hold regular consultations on issues of bilateral concern.
