Ambassador Fatimie offers condolences on the passing of H.E. Former Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan of the Republic of Turkey

March 4, 2011: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie visited the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey where he signed the book of condolences for the passing of H.E. Former Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan.

In his message, Ambassador Fatimie expressed condolences over the loss, and referred to the former prime minister as a man of religion and scholarship.

The full text of the Ambassador’s message follows below:

On behalf of the Government and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, I would like to express my deepest condolences on the passing of H.E. Former Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan.

H.E. Dr. Erbakan’s rule was characterized by the prioritization of Islam. He will be remembered thus as a champion of religion and a man of scholarship.

My prayers go out to the family of Dr. Erbakan, and to the people and Government of the Republic of Turkey.
