On behalf of the Government and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, I would like to express my deepest condolences on the passing of H.E. Former Vice President José Alencar Gomes da Silva of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
As a self-made success in business, H.E. Mr. da Silva was an inspiration for many ambitious people in newly thriving economies. As a politician, he was able to show the harmony and balance that can and should exist between the leaders of business, the workforce, and government. Mr. da Silva bravely fought for so long against his ailments, and I wish him a peaceful rest.
My prayers go out to the family of H.E. Mr. da Silva, and to the people and Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
