Ambassador Fatimie welcomes Mr. Watanabe, Advisor of Nejap Center NGO in Kabul, to the Embassy.

June 9, 2011: Ambassador Sayed M. Amin Fatimie welcomed Mr. Akira Watanabe, Advisor of Nejap Center NGO in Kabul, to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo. Mr. Basir Hamdard, Second Secretary, also represented the Embassy at the meeting.

Mr. Watanabe worked in Afghanistan and the area for 10 years previously and has since held a diverse portfolio of positions relating to regional support including founding the Nejap Center in Kabul with Mr. Kasim Zamani and working for the NGO Todai.

Ambassador Fatimie expressed his appreciation for Mr. Watanabe’s support of Afghanistan, calling particular attention to his time there, and encouraged him to continue his dedication to the people and the development of the country. Mr. Watanabe in turn promised renewed dedication.
