February 8-9, 2012: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie and Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo, extended a warm welcome to Japan to H.E. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Jawed Ludin; Mr. Azizullah Omar, Director of Multilateral Relations in the Ministry’s Economic Division; and Mr. S. Asghar Amiri of the Japan-Korea Desk in the Ministry’s First Political Division. H.E. Deputy Minister Ludin and his delegation arrived on Wednesday, February 8th, and will stay in Japan until the 13th and 14th respectively.
Over the course of this important visit to further deepen relations and friendship with Japan, H.E. the Deputy Minister will visit significant locations and meet with a number of key Japanese figures, including those H.E. met with on the 9th: H.E. Mr. Tadamichi Yamamoto, Ambassador in charge of Afghanistan and Pakistan Assistance Coordination; Director-General Shigeo Matsutomi of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau; Madam Sadako Ogata of the Japan International Cooperation Agency; and, also of particular importance, H.E. Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba. H.E. Deputy Minister Ludin received the warmest of welcomes from H.E. the Foreign Minister, having very productive talks that further facilitated the harmonious approach of the two allies of Afghanistan and Japan.
