Mr. Hamdard attends lecture by H.E. Ambassador Sezibera, Secretary General of the East African Community, at United Nations University

February 9, 2012: Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard, Second Secretary and Consul for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, attended H.E. Ambassador Dr. Richard Sezibera’s lecture “A presentation on social and economic development through regional integration with specific reference to the East African Community” at United Nations University. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Sezibera (pictured above) serves as Secretary General of the East African Community.

The lecture, which was focused on the “need for regional integration and development partnerships,” specifically “establishing sustainable economic development” within existing challenges and the new priority of addressing climate change, was organized in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Waseda University.
