Ms. Paikan, Ms. Imanishi attend Japan Nuts Association reception

June 7, 2012: Ms. Parwana Paikan and Ms. Namie Imanishi of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo attended a reception organized by the Japan Nuts Association (JNA). The organization, which aims to provide the Japanese public with delicious and quality nuts, also invited to the reception, member companies, JETRO, the Embassy of the United States of America, and Food Industry News Co.

In his opening speech, Mr. Hiroto Nakajima, JNA Chairman, said that the demand for nuts, such as almonds and walnuts, has been increasing over the past year. The organization invited the Embassy to raise awareness of Afghan nuts amongst its members.

Ms. Paikan and Ms. Imanishi thanked the organizers sincerely for inviting them to this important event and for keeping Afghanistan’s quality products in mind.
