Ambassador Hakimi Presents Letter of Credence to His Majesty the Emperor

June 19, 2009, Tokyo: Ambassador Hakimi was escorted by imperial carriage to Kokyo, the Imperial Palace, on June 19th to present his letter of credence from the government to His Majesty the Emperor.

During their time together, His Majesty the Emperor fondly reflected upon his own experience in visiting Afghanistan and reaffirmed Japanese support both in reconstruction and the upcoming Presidential election.
