Ambassador Hakimi meets with Misters Hayashi, Kubota, and Machida of Japan Oil, Gas, and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) at the Embassy

Monday, October 5th, 2009: Ambassador Hakimi meets with Misters Hayashi, Kubota, and Machida of Japan Oil, Gas, and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC).

Ambassador Hakimi and Mr. Ashor Azimi of the Embassy met with representatives from Japan Oil, Gas, and Metals National Corporation. During their meeting, Ambassador Hakimi encouraged the group to dedicate their expertise to discover, survey, and exploit Afghanistan's great resources including natural gas, coal, iron, and various minerals.

Already active in 40 nations, JOGMEC possesses satellite technology that yield very accurate survey results.
