Afghan Participants of JICA’s Young Leadership program visit Ambassador and Ambassadress Hakimi

January 20, 2010: A group of female teachers from around Afghanistan visited Ambassador and Ambassadress Hakimi at the Embassy on the evening of Wednesday, January 20th. The teachers were in Tokyo for the Young Leadership program organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

This program was distinct in that it brought the largest amount of Afghan female teachers (15) ever to Japan for a training program and that the participants came from even very remote areas of Afghanistan.
