Attendance at the Public Symposium Hosted by Ochanomizu University

November 29, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the pleasure of attending a public symposium on the 15th anniversary of the education assistance to Afghan female students at Ochanomizu University hosted by Ochanomizu University. Also in attendance was Mr. Asif Agah, Second Secretary and Cultural Affairs of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan.

The Japan’s Women’s College University Consortium was established in 2002. The creation of this Consortium, filled with members from Japan’s top Women’s Universities, emphasizes the Japanese government’s support of education.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat had the honour of being a guest speaker. In his speech he strongly emphasized the importance of women's education and motivation in order to restructure not only Afghanistan, but any country. Also, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat gave on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan his expressed heartfelt appreciation and thanks for the noble nation of Japan’s steadfast support and friendship and his sincerest hopes for a deepening and strengthening of their ties. He thanked Ochanomizu University, the Consortium, and attending Ministers for their continuous help and support in capacity building, education, and helping to create a foundation for Afghanistan.
