Dr. Mohabbat speaks at the Japan International Cooperation Agency’s event entitled “Once Upon a Time in Afghanistan”

October 20, 2010: Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Tokyo, took part in the Japan International Cooperation Agency’s (JICA’s) event “Once Upon a Time in Afghanistan.”

The event, which also featured a talk by Dr. Khaled Reshad of the NGO Karez, provided attendees with a background of Afghan history and culture, as well as informing of current development challenges and successes. Furthermore, as both speakers were asked to share of their experiences as students in Japan, Dr. Mohabbat shared of his time at Takushoku University, Chukyo University, Meijo University, and Nihon Daigaku.

About 130 attendees, made up of business leaders, government officials, politicians, NGO staff, students, and media, were present. (photo by Farouq Asefi).
