Mr. Hamdard attends the Symposium Commemorating the ILO Centenary

February 1, 2019: Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard, First Secretary for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo, had the greatest pleasure of attending the Symposium Commemorating the ILO Centenary 100th anniversary in Tokyo, Japan.


The ILO Office for Japan and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) co-organized the Symposium Commemorating the ILO Centenary. This Symposium is recognized as the first national tripartite reflection on the Global Commission Report. Mr. Hamdard had the pleasure to meet with members of the Commission, Professor Atsushi Seike, Deputy Director-General of the ILO headquarters, Ms. Deborah Greenfield, ILO Deputy Director-General for Policy, and other guest speakers in attendance at the event. The meeting produced fruitful information on the future of work through values in the Global Commission report. Mr. Hamdard thanked the tripartite constituents for the pleasure of speaking with him, and in return, tripartite constituents thanked Mr. Hamdard for attending the symposium and sharing his time.


Mr. Hamdard was honored to receive the invitation to the symposium and hear distinguished speakers share their views on Japanese workstyle reform.
