Ambassador Fatimie welcomes back to the Embassy Mr. Mejia, head of UNITAR’s Hiroshima office

January 27, 2012: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie welcomed back to the Embassy Mr. Alex Mejia, head of UNITAR’s Hiroshima office. Mr. Mejia is in Tokyo as part of UNITAR’s latest initiative to provide capacity development to Afghan officials.

Ambassador Fatimie expressed deepest gratitude, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to Mr. Mejia for UNITAR’s and his personal efforts to enhance the effectiveness of Afghan officials, and through this to improve the government’s service ability to the people. Ambassador Fatimie praised UNITAR and its Hiroshima office as invaluable partners and highly-regarded friends.
