Ambassador Fatimie attends reception to honor representatives of local Japanese governments hosted by H.E. Deputy Vice-Minister Kitera and the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs

February 8-9, 2012: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended a reception to honor representatives of local Japanese governments hosted by H.E. Deputy Vice-Minister Masato Kitera and the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The reception was organized in conjunction with a seminar the representatives, providing an opportunity for international relations to be fostered with Japan’s local areas.

In meeting with H.E. the Deputy Vice-Minister, Ambassador Fatimie had the opportunity to offer sincerest gratitude, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to Japan and the Foreign Ministry for its cross-sectoral, result-oriented support. The Ambassador was able to further express the great value that Afghanistan places on relations with the regions of Japan, as regional partnership has been deeply developed.

Among other key guests, Ambassador Fatimie was also able to meet from the diplomatic community H.E. Ambassador Leonardo Carrión of Ecuador; H.E. Ambassador Saúl Arana of the Republic of Nicaragua; and Dr. Jiban R. Majumder, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; and representatives from the local governments of Saitama Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, Chiba Prefecture, and Kawasaki City.
