April 27, 2012: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie and the staff of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo welcomed their newest member, Mr. Sayed Ali Asghar Amiri, to Japan.
Mr. Amiri, who began his professional career working with the Supreme Court of Afghanistan, has been working for the past several years in many important divisions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul. His highly-relevant appointment to the Embassy is seen as another sign of the importance placed on relations with Japan. Ambassador Fatimie expressed that much was expected of Mr. Amiri, and Mr. Amiri, in turn, promised to do his best to make positive contributions to the relationship between these historical friends and co-supporters, Afghanistan and Japan.
