Afghan Team Beats Rivals from 47 Countries to Win Top PlaceKABUL, November 19 (Quqnoos.com): Afghan students have won an international IT competition. Competitors from 47 countries took part in the competition, held in Turkmenistan. The four man team won two gold and two silver medals. The students attend the Afghan-Turk Schools in Herat and Kabul. Both gold medalists are from Herat. The team took part in computer programming and software competitions, said Osman Kapakoli, headmaster of the Herat Afghan-Turk School. Afghan-Turk students have won more than 20 gold, silver and bronze medals in chemistry, biology, physics and Turkish in international competitions in the last five years. |
