150 teachers complete professional training

February 23 (PAN): Roughly 150 teachers, of which 30 were women, completed a professional training course in Panjsher province.

The training course was arranged by the education department and financial support from province-based philanthropists.

Provincial Education Director Zalmay Shaheed said the objective behind the training was to enhance capacity of the teachers in two subjects - Mathematics and Science. Six instructors from Kabul University led particpants through the four-month long training.

"Before, my teaching capacity was too low, but after this training, I have been much improved," said Tamanna, one of the trainees.
