Turkey takes over ISAF commandKabul, February 12, 2005 - Turkey will take over the command of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan from EUROCORPS with a ceremony to be held in the Afghanistan capital of Kabul tomorrow. First Army Commander Genereal Hursit Tolon and other military officials departed for Kabul to take part in the ceremony. Turkish Forces will command the 7th term of ISAF until August 11 and will comprise of nearly 1,600 personnel. |
