Afghanistan offers help to Haiti

The government will donate US$200.000 in aid to the people of Haiti in order to help those suffering from the 7.0 magnitude earthquake.

According to a statement from the office of H.E. the President, “The sum of two hundred thousand dollars will be sent as soon as possible to the victims of Haiti’s earthquake, to convey the concern and sorrowfulness of Afghanistan’s people to the victims of the earthquake.”

Afghanistan historically was a nation that provided aid to nations in need. Rescue workers and humanitarian supplies were sent to Kashmir to provide medical assistance, food, and tents in the aftermath of a large-scale earthquake.
