World bank paves roads in KabulKabul, October 21, 2004 - The German humanitarian organization KFW began asphalting the road from Deh Mazang to Koteh Sangi crossroads on Monday, October 18. The work is part of the repairs and asphalting to be carried out on around 20km of main roads in Kabl city. A source from Kabul municipality said the total cost of the project is estimated at $30 million, which the World Bank has committed to pay. To date, 30% of the work has been completed. As part of the work, the roads of the interior and foreign ministries also will be asphalted. |
